Refund policy

Last updated October 11, 2026

This policy covers pooja bookings and donations made through this portal. Refunds are processed by the Akhara's office, to the original payment method wherever possible.

If the Akhara cancels a pooja

If a pooja is cancelled by the Akhara, every booking is cancelled and you are told by email and on your booking page. Your full offering is refunded within 7 working days.

If a pooja is moved

If a pooja is moved to a new date or time, your booking stays valid for the new time. If the new time does not suit you, write to us through the Contact page and we will refund your offering.

If you cancel a booking

  • A booking that has not been paid can be cancelled from your booking page at any time.
  • Once paid, please write to us through the Contact page at least 24 hours before the pooja begins; we will refund your offering. Requests made later, or after the pooja has been performed, cannot usually be refunded, because the sankalp and preparations will have been made in your name.

Payments that could not be confirmed

If you paid by UPI or bank transfer and we could not match your payment, we will tell you why. If money left your account, it is safe: reply to our email or write to us and we will either confirm your booking or refund you.

Donations

Donations are voluntary and are generally not refundable. If you donated by mistake (for example a wrong amount or a duplicate payment), write to us within 7 days and we will refund it. Refunded donations cannot be claimed under 80G.

How refunds are made

Refunds go back to the original payment method (card, UPI or bank account) or by bank transfer. Banks usually take 5 to 7 working days to show the credit.
